As a hunting dog, the breed should be alert and fearless. It is enthusiastic, lively, friendly and confident.

It is mainly used to hunt grouse, but is also used to hunt small predators, waterfowl, moose and bear. It is therefore an excellent all-round hunting dog.

The Norrbottenspets is one of the healthiest dog breeds. It also has no exaggerated anatomical features that would compromise its well-being, exercise, respiration or normal reproduction. Norrbottenspets generally has a long life expectancy.

Grooming
